Hi Everyone,
Hows your Xmas plans going?
Mine has turned to shit. The laptop has sucked a kumara and I was hoping to have it fixed in time to send out some final information. Anyway......
things are coming together slowly. Registrations are still slow but same as last time, I expect everyone will just turn up at the time.
I had intended to send out a copy of the itinerary but it is not on this computer so here is a brief rundown of events.
The days are divided into a morning, afternoon and evening sessions. The morning sessions on most days have guest speakers with the Wed session being an arts display time for anyone in the whanau who have these talents. Please bring some of your work to show.
The morning sessions will also have a kids program offered at the same time so that the adults may attend the speaker sessions. These will have a nominal fee of approx $2 a session per child to help cover costs.
The afternoon sessions are a bit more casual, with museum trips, hangi making and sports etc organised. On Wed a bus tour of local places of interest is organised. It will cover among others Terapatiki, Waimako marae, Lake Waikaremoana, Frasertown Pub, Takitimu, Hinemihi. The bus can take 50 passengers and there is a cost of $10 each. Please book for this when you register at the desk.
There is a New Years Eve Ball on Thursday night. Feel free to bring your glad rags and get dressed up. Rowena will have more information.
Looking forward to catching up with everyone soon. I will be in Wairoa from 24th.
Safe travel

A reminder to get your biographies to Aunty Amiria for the Reunion book if you haven't already done so.
It would be nice to have someone from each commitee available at the meeting to give a report on plans so far. If you can't make it, let me know and maybe see if someone else from the committee can present work done so far.
